TSRC Impeaches Elemoh But He Says “Every Good Thing Must Come To An End”

Following the decision to put his resignation on hold, the Investigative Committee set up by the Technology Students’ Representatives Council has pronounced the embattled Director of Socials of TESA, Elemoh guilty of all the eight charges levelled against him by the President, Agunbiade Ademola.

The report from the 5-man Investigative Committee was contained in a 25-page E-signed by the Chairman, Secretary and three other members of the committee with proven evidence and in accordance with the constitution of the association.

Meanwhile, in another release by the TSRC dated 15th, May 2023 and signed by the Clerk, Hon. Jubril Mariam and Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Oni Mubaraq,  the Director of Social was confirmed to have been removed from the office.

According to the release, ‘The TSRC will like to inform the members of the association and OAU community at large that Mr David Oluwamayowafunmi Olaoye was removed from his position as the Director of Socials of Technology and Engineering Students’ Association at its sitting held on Sunday, 14th of May, 2023.’

This was after the speaker called for a motion and Hon. Agbara moved a motion for the removal of Mr. David Olaoye and be made to pay an amount of NGN500,000 which was sourced for with the name of the association, the motion was seconded by Hon. Hotmann. A counter motion was moved by Hon. OTG that Mr David Olaoye should be suspended indefinitely instead; tender a public apology; be made to repay what’s left of the NGN500,000 back into the association’s account; and Mr Clinton should distance TESA from his now-deleted tweet. The counter motion was seconded by Hon. Mustapha.

In an election conducted by Deputy Speaker 1, the motion was supported by 17 Honorables out of the 22 Honorables present and voting at the sitting, while the counter motion was supported by 5 Honorables present and voting at the sitting.

The release further stated that ‘The Speaker then pronounced Mr. David Oluwamayowafunmi Olaoye removed from his position as the Director of Socials of TESA-OAU; ordered him to pay an amount of NGN500,000 to the association account; and to deliver every other association properties with him back to the secretariat within the next 24hrs.’

However, speaking with ACJOAU, Elemoh reacts that,  “Every good thing must come to an end, I took my removal in good fate but it is evident that TESA doesn’t want to stop at that and I will be there to the end”.
