OAU Students Hold Candle Night In Honour Of Colleague’s Death

To commiserate the passing of Mosun Adenuga, a 400 level student of Philosophy, friends and classmates of the deceased held a candle night on Friday 27th of October, in honour of her death in  front of the Ken Saro Wiwa building.

According to one of the students at the candle night procession, she supposedly was sick and hospitalized until she gave up the ghost on the 10th of October, 2023.

Speaking with ACJOAU correspondent, Abisoye Olaoluwa, speaker for National Association of Philosophy Students (NAPS), he said ‘she was full of life. She was like the rope holding the class. She was more than a friend and like a sister to many in the class. It’s sad that we lost her when she died. And I pray that may her gentle soul rest in peace’.

Also, Adewale Comfort, politically known as Princess, President of National Association Of Philosophy, had this to say: ‘the news of her demise came as a shock. We didn’t know she was sick for a while until she died. She was a very very lovely and free spirited person, and it’s so sad because she was supposed to be our Final Year Brethren (FYB) chairman but now she is no more. But we know that she is in a better place and we are going to meet someday’.
