OAU Students Appointed To National Fiscal Policy And Tax Reforms Committee

In a significant stride towards recognizing the efforts and commitment of student associations and clubs in order to foster more collaborative partnership between the students and the workforce, three students of the Obafemi Awolowo University who are members of The Tax Club of the University have been appointed to serve as student members in the Secretariat of the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee.

The three appointed individuals are, Clinton Oladayo Alabi (President of The Tax Club, OAU), Faith Ayoola Omodara (Public Relations Officer of The Tax Club, OAU), and Samuel Adeleke Ayelagbe (a member of The Tax Club, OAU).  In an interactive session with ACJOAU correspondent, they shared their insights and perspectives on this significant appointment.

Clinton Alabi, President of The Tax Club, OAU, provided valuable information about The Tax Club’s goals and initiatives. The Club’s primary objective is to develop individuals who will contribute to the development of taxation in Nigeria and prepare students for opportunities in the field.

Mr. Alabi expressed his vision of seeing a Nigeria where everyone comprehends their civic responsibilities and the intricacies of the tax system. He anticipates that the Committee’s recommendations will improve economic growth and investment attractiveness in Nigeria.
