The Great IFE Students Union Electoral Commission has lifted the ban on all electoral activities to ease campaign activities ahead of the 2025 Students’ Union Elections.
Following the recent constitution of the Electoral Committee, the body has begun to set the electoral process in motion. The commencement of campaign activities was declared in a press statement signed by the Chairman, Ehondor Matthew, and General Secretary, Dotunodun Joshua, of the Commission, made available on Monday, June 16th, 2025, by the Public Relations Officer of the Commission.
The commission confirmed that nomination forms will soon go on sale, allowing aspirants to pick the nomination form formally. It also assured the student body of a fair and transparent process, with campaign guidelines, timelines, and rules to be released shortly.
As the election period begins, candidates have been urged to maintain decorum, discipline, and respect for the democratic process, as the university community looks forward to peaceful and credible elections.
