The Association of Campus Journalists, Obafemi Awolowo University, has officially announced the commencement of the Adejumo Kabir Essay Contest. Adejumo Kabir Essay Competition is an annual Essay Competition that is usually organized under ACJOAU. This year presents its third edition, titled, Education Policy: Should Age or Academic Merit Determine University Admission.
Interested candidates must be a bonafide student of Obafemi Awolowo University to be eligible to submit their entries for the essay competition. Qualified candidates are to submit an entry between 1000 to 1500 words. Alongside, they must have a copy of their school ID card or a copy of their school e portal page.
Furthermore, prospective students are required to use the font type of Times New Roman, a font size of 12 and 1.5 line spacing. Afterwards, candidates must ensure that their entries are attached in PDF format, to be sent to acjoau2015@gmail.com for submission.

The first runner up will be awarded a cash price of 30,000, the second runner up will be awarded 20,000, while the third runner up will be awarded 10,000 naira.
The three candidates who made it to the final stage will be announced after the deadline. The top three winners will be awarded a cash price at the 2025 International Campus Journalism Conference.
Additionally, the top three winning essays will be featured in the maiden edition of the ACJOAU magazine.
This competition provides an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and talents and to tackle the situations and challenges they encounter as a student.
