The Great Ife Students’ Union has reacted to the minimal reduction made to the school fees to be paid by students in the 2022/2023 academic session.
In a Press Statement made available to ACJOAU, the Union state that the meeting with the school management ended in deadlock as their proposal was not achieved.

The Union who met with the management today strongly stand for a 50% reduction in the announced school charges by the management.
However, they were unable to achieve the 50% reduction as the Vice Chancellor of the institution, announced the minimal reduction as follows

For Arts and Humanities:
– Returning Students: 76,000 (reduced from 89,200)
– Freshmen: 131,000 (reduced from 151,200)
For Sciences:
– Returning Students: 86,000 (reduced from 101,200)
– Freshmen: 141,000 (reduced from 163,200)
For the College of Health Sciences and Pharmacy:
– Returning Students: 109,000 (reduced from 128,200)
– Freshmen: 164,000 (reduced from 190,200)
Consequently, the Union hereby urge every students not to make payment for now till they(union) revert back.
