The Plogging Nigeria Club of Obafemi Awolowo University, has unveiled the new executives that will oversee the affairs of the club for the 2022/2023 academic session.
The unveiling was done by the outgoing Head Plogga of the club, Taiwo Akande after rigorous processes. According to her, nominations, screening and interviews were conducted for the applicants and successful candidates were selected.
The new executives of the club are Tomisin Fasehan – Head Plogga, Olamide Adekola – Assistant Head Plogga/Logistics Manager, Oreoluwa Owolabi – Financial Officer, Temitope Oseni – Public Relations Officer and Joseph Ajayi – Assistant Public Relations Officer.
Others are Bisoye Kehinde Owoeye – Secretary, Michelle Adeyanju – Welfare and Victor Ogungbure – Media.
In a conversation with ACJOAU correspondent, the newly appointed Head Plogga, Tomisin Fasehan from the Department of Architecture, described his utmost happiness on his appointment. According to him, “I’m motivated to do great and wonderful things with and for the ploggas of OAU”.

Speaking on his plans for the club, he said ‘As at now, we’re still in the planning stage and I cannot really say much but good things are on their way. We’ll try to get the club a secretariat on campus and we’ll be collaborating with some other organizations and try to bring the campaign of environmental awareness to folks outside campus’.
The Plogging Nigeria Club is an environmental issue-based organization, with the vision of keeping people fit in clean communities and mission of promoting a culture of responsible waste handling and fitness in Nigeria.
