The Welfare Officer of Great Ife Students’ Union has released the charges for POS operators on campus. In a press release made available to ACJOAU, the office of the Welfare Director announced that it had met with Point of Sales (POS) merchants to regulate the charges for their services on campus.

Here are the regulated prices:
For transactions below ₦1000, the charge is ₦50. For transactions between ₦1000 and ₦3000, the charge is ₦100. For transactions between ₦4000 and ₦5000, the charge is ₦150. For transactions between ₦6000 and ₦8000, the charge is ₦200.
In a conversation with the Welfare Director, Folakan Paul, via WhatsApp, on the charges for withdrawal above ₦8000 which was not included in the statement sent to ACJOAU, he explained that prices are ‘going to follow the sequence’. For transactions between ₦9000 and ₦10,000, the charge is ₦300.
Consequently, all students and non-students on campus are charged to take note of the regulated charges and promptly report any irregularities that may occur.
