Bullying and discrimination are hideous acts, that have negative impacts on the wellbeing of the person affected. These acts have somewhat remained persistent challenges within educational institutions, negatively impacting the wellbeing and academic performance of students. All students should be free from intimidation, prejudice and discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, religious beliefs, socio-economic status and so on.

Students’ Union have a crucial role to play in promoting anti-bullying and anti-discrimination measures. This is majorly for the purpose of creating a safe and inclusive environment. Some key strategies that can be adopted to address these issues effectively includes:
