In the wee hours of Sunday, 3rd of December, at exactly 04:00 am, a cry for help drew the attention of Moremi Queens to block E of Moremi Hall of Residence where a person dressed in makeup and disguised as a woman attempted to escape after a reported case of attempted rape of a female occupant of the Hall. The identity of the victim has been kept confidential for privacy reasons.

According to a resident of the hall, last week Sunday, precisely at 2:30 am, a male individual was seen lurking around and entering a room in Block H. Fortunately, no one was harmed, but the incident left the room’s occupants deeply disturbed.
Another resident shared concerns about the hostel’s safety measures, stating that this incident marked the fourth occurrence this semester. They highlighted the nonchalant attitude of both the school management and the hall porters. Despite multiple complaints about faulty doors and malfunctioning light bulbs in the hostel, no preventive actions have been taken.
The Chairperson of Moremi Hall, Ewaoluwa Alawode, in reaction to the incident, sent a message to the Queens of Moremi Hall through the Hall group chats asking and enjoining all residents to be security conscious and to trend a post that might bring light to their plight, which is the first step to take, in order to ensure the hall is safe.
The message reads thus: ‘Moremi Hall is no longer safe for us. Guys have been trying to rape us every night, the school management is not hearing our cries Savemoremioccupants Ourlivesareindanger’
