GWR: OAU’s Enitan Subair Completes 58Hours Marathon Washing

Enitan Subair, a 200-level student of the Department of Linguistics and African Languages has accomplished and set a new record for the longest hours of hand-washing, washing for 58 hours straight. Recall it was earlier reported by ACJOAU, that Enitan was 30 hours gone in the wash-a-thon

The wash-a-thon which kick-started on Friday, the 24th of November at the Students’ Union car park ended during the late night hours of Sunday 26th of November. The record was set straight with a total of 58 hours and 28 minutes.

Enitan had earlier notified The Guinness World Record of her intention to run for the marathon washing in June and was given the 24th of November as her marathon date. She took to her social media platforms to declare her intention to set a new Guinness World Record (GWR). She expressed optimism that she would finish setting her record straight as the longest hand-washing individual with 50 hours.

After the successful completion of 50 hours, Enitan however found renewed strength and decided to add a few more hours to her marathon washing making it 58 hours and 28 minutes.

Speaking with ACJOAU correspondent, one of Enitan’s coursemates, Folorunsho Folashade, described Enitan as a very hardworking and ever-vibrant mate who is always ready to show a side of her vibrancy.

Her attempt at breaking the world record was fully supported by her parents, the university management, the Students’ Union officers, and the entire student populace.
